I See Her So Clearly

I see her now, she's close to dying.
And all of her family are bedside, crying.
She's got cancer eating away at her heart
And she's too far gone for treatment to start.
I see her husband now, beer dripping from his face.
Getting ready for the liquor to take her place.
And he can't help but look at the gleaming kitchen shelf,
Cos his thoughts are not with her, but just with himself.
I see her sister clearly, she's completely distraught,
For the battle will soon no longer be fought.
All of her loves-evil has killed them:
And who will now look after the children?
I see the kids, and they need a keeper,
But they're old enough to understand the Reaper.
And the future is obsolete for they can't see clearly
Past the death of the mother they love so dearly.
I see her now, not far from death;
Sadly resigned to her last premature breath.
She takes one final look round the silent room.
And prays that happiness will come to them soon.
