Valentine's Day, Two Years Later
Who will buy my diamonds and rubies?
This shackle on my finger I was so pleased to receive.
Who will buy my lover's gift?
This gold ring that chains my heart to his.
Who will buy my promises of love?
This cut glass cheap imitation of the real stuff
And take my finger too if it won't come off;
This bruised bone that was once
So proud to wear my lover's heart.
Till death us do part.
That I would be good, and not kill you first.
Because love is nothing without truth and trust.
