When you look back,
I wonder what of me you will remember&;#8230;
My eyes? My laugh? The way I felt
Underneath your hands?
And how often will you
Regret
Not staying with me,
Or will you thank your lucky stars
That you got out?

It's a funny thing,
Time -
Stealing memories,
Hiding truths under a rosy cloud,
And looking back
The bigger picture is never easy to make out -
It's the little things that you remember
Eyes, laugh, warmth
And how you felt.
