Gary is a husband.
He wishes his Mac
Was an abacus.
Jenny is in West of England Team.
She cracked
Her patella
In two
Yesterday.
She got a card.
Jenny wishes her eyelids
Shed and regrew
Like petals.
Her jaw clacks
Like an abacus.
Gary once
Shut himself
In the stationery cupboard.
It was on purpose.
He could see
Loose leaf
Basildon Bond
Styrofoam beans
On the floor
Like lost dolls' shoes.
Gary is a husband.
He wishes
He was an abacus
And his fears
Were cold, smooth beads
He could slide on rails
Clacking.
