She was in a white dress that day
And it blew in the wind
As she motioned me towards her
Everything got cold
Around her head it glowed
And she was filled with loving light
But she was so very little
A mere child
She smiled and motioned me towards her
And so there I went
She comforted me
And she made me laugh as I play
Being a little child once again
She was delicate and beautiful for a mere child
Then she leaned forward
"You wanna know a secret?"
And I leaned back
"Sure."
She smiled and stretched out her arms
"This place is only a temporary home
Until God calls us all home
And one day you will be there with me
In heaven holding my hand."
I leaned backwards
Scared of what to say
"And I'm your gaurdian angel
Sent to protect you from this evil world"
She smiled and blew a dandelion
As though nothing was wrong
"But your so young"
I said tears filling into my eyes
"How can you help me
When I should be helping you?"
She laughed a peaceful laughed
And took my hand in hers
And when she closed her fingers around me
I saw the most beautiful sights
Green pastures filled with flowers
People filled with light and love
And it was then I understood
What she had meant
"God knows whats best for you
And he knows whats best for me
And if you will just trust him
Then one day you will truly see."
The girl smiled and backed away
Her laugh echoed so peaceful and clear
And she waved a gentle goodbye
Then she disappeared
I looked around me
In my yard I had come to find
That heaven truly exhists
And I would be there over time
