Karen turned the knob of the bathroom tap,
Played with Granny's bathroom stuff, the shower, her caps,
Placed bubble bath in the tub for the nice smell,
Looked for the lather or the shower gel,
Disrobing and entering the bath seemed a chore,
Karen always alert checking the lock on the door,
But this bath is different and not like the bath at home,
No this bath in tinny and not smooth like chrome,
Maybe when the time comes she'll go home some very minute,
When the clouds disperse but the hours are passing like peanuts,
Being eaten by elephants who always want more,
Who have no real home but a stomach for a door,
Can you hear that? Karen ignites.
But the walls have no mouths for this vocal fight,
There's something underneath her and it vibrates and rattles,
"It can't be the mouse that would be a small battle!
But there is a covering around the bathtub and it cannot be seen,
But Karen gets the feeling its somewhere before she's been,
Not previous or never,
She thinks she's so clever,
But gives up to soon fearing the weather,
"Never the weather forever!
Her Granny would say, pout and talk about the colour of grey,
But sleep is a killer and reaps all the rewards,
He eyes feel so heavy like they're carrying hoards,
Of shipwrecked doubloons of pirate folly,
Pretty soon she will be sleeping with her teddy or her dolly.
