I'd like to wrap you up
a cuddle of cotton wool
nest and nestle coo and cluck
as if you were a fish with fragile fins
made of painted glass
little mummies lovely duck
I'd put you in the dolls house
tuck you up
make soup ,read books tell jokes
spoon in Calpol rub on Vicks
protect you from lifes pokes and tricks
take you out when the weather cleared
to look at clouds and grass and birds
tuck you in my pocket in a hanky
not a brother lover Father son
so who knows quite where you fit
not in a box but loved to bits
