Friendship

Friendship is more precious than gold
More infinite than time
Lovelier than roses that bloom in the spring
Prettier than snow covered mountains in the winter
Something to be valued, nourished, nurtured and planted
Given away freely,
Without prejudice or price
Friendship can be as simple as a smile
Or as complex as unconditional love for humanity
It all begins with one person showing kindness to another
So thanks for becoming my friend,
The first smile you gave, and the ones that continue to come
