What Was Supposed To Be

It was only carried for months
It didn't even made a grunt
They did not want it to survive
They would have killed it with a knife

It was meant to give smiles
They said it will only cry
It was meant to give love
But he and she were dumb

It was supposed to breathe
And walk with its two feet
It was supposed to see
The green earth and blue sea

They were never ready
They still have to study
She did not have a clue
And he'll not help her through

He said it must not live
So all she did was grieve
She's not yet a woman
She still needs her old man

Her belly grew and grew
All that she ate she'd threw
She was not very strong
Yet she knew it's so wrong

They have to do it fast
He said it is a must
So she bid her farewell
She did not feel well

On the hospital bed
She felt pain and she bled
They stole another heart
While her legs were apart

After her long slumber
She'll always remember
"It" was supposed to be
Her sweet loving baby...
