They told me I would never make it, I would never acheive it.
Reality is nourishment, yet many don't beleive it.
I guess it's hard to stomach the truth, like the death silence.
Many scared because the real truth brings out the violence,
In the people you least expected to blow their fuse.
Makes you think that the truth and the past is used to abuse.
Ever had the past hold you back and succeed in hurting you.
Stopping you from acheving, ends up stopping you from what you do.
Maybe you swallowed propaganda like birth control pills.
Just so you could fuck thugs, prostitution to get the dollar bills.
Well let me tell you all straight.
The bitch that swallowed pills and killed the babies is my girl.
She had to make money by fucking day and night.
Steep falling in a tunnel with no fucking clear light.
That was my wife,she had no other choice in her life.
But now she isn't no bitch, she a mother, a women.
I don't ever bring out her past, I don't bring out mine.
I just leave the past and live for the moment.
Don't worry baby girl, everything going to be fine.

Hi Pin. This was going really well for me until "Well let me tell you all straight." at which point the red light started flashing in my eyes ;-) and I started thinking 'Oh no! Too much information Pin! Does she know he's telling us this? Is it true or lyrics from a song? I'm embarrassed, better check how he's tagged it'. Then I started thinking of that Eminem song with the girl in the boot of the car - and got with the program - I hope ;) Like the first part a lot, good work in my opinion, however the second half might be just a little too sensitive for a mainly UK populated (I think) poetry board audience though - or maybe I'm just being a little too sensitive? Be interesting to see what other people say ;-)

Thanks for the comment Jupiter.Well this piece is Non-fiction and all of the second is real and has occured in the past.My wife is fine with me putting it in my rap because otherwise if she/me keep it a secret then it contradicts the point of the poem "don't let the past hold you back". Won't go to much into detail but I'll say this.She was a pros.Did it because she was put into care at young age by 18 she was a wreck.needed money and well got involved with the wrong people. She did take birth pills as protection isn't a major concern in ghettos as you might have gathered. But that's enough of that.She's alright with me using her past because that was the old her. I met her at a gig,took her to my apartment.Gave her a bed,my love,food and hope.Then we fell in love.I don't regret the day i took her into my apartment.She's beautiful.If I didn't get with her because of her past then what hope has she got in life.Remember she had no parents and was alone since 18.
