mummy, what does "life's not fair" mean? i chuckle as i say, "well bear, life's not fair is a saying that some people say when they feel hard dumb by or feel something that need have gone their way did not. life's not fair is how we feel when we are disappointed in how something resulted. for example, nadya, a family decides to go on holiday at the end of december. they plan and schedule their trip for several days perhaps weeks. when the family of 5 arrives at the airport they discover they have missed their flight by 7 minutes. everyone is up in arms, angry, sad and disappointed. one of the little one's in tears asks, "daddy, why did the airplane leave without us?" "because we were a few minutes late and missed it," daddy replies. "that's not fair," nadya says. "i agree, daddy says, "life's not fair ... however, there is naught we can do about it except next time be half an hour earlier. now let's see about getting us on the next flight."
