O,how I have fallen
From such gracious heights
From such lustrous surrounds
For proudly-I once held onto life
With a passion-tasted all it offered
Not realizing an end was imminent
My destiny,could not be altered
Unbeknownst-my fate sealed

Slowly my grip on reality relents
I now find myself drifting
Aimlessly,hopelessly
Fear stricken for what this journey entails
Guided by unseen forces
Forces that I am too weak to contest

Veins that surged with vitality
Now wither-slowly exhaling life
A faint pulse lingers
As if awaiting a reprieve
A heart beats only at a distance
All feeling is subdued

Spirits that were high
Lay broken beneath me
Lamely I caress the ground
Secretly praying for an end
I find a gutter to rest a while
Deep down,knowing
I shall rise no more

I have become invisible it seems
My screams are silent
People pass on by
Not even a pause to spare
Caught up in their own trivia
Oblivious to my distress
Looked at by many-seen by so few

I'll die alone then-shall I?

Far from my roots
Contorting as the last breath
Departs this empty carcass
All fight vanquished
All hope slain

From o so sweet an onset
Beget so sad an end...
