It's quarter past ten at night, but still twenty four degree's, the air thick, moist and muggy. But hey. I'm not complaining.
I've ended up in the woods again, and its silent. Apart from the whisper of the wind through the trees. But that doesn't mean anything anymore.
Although its late, the moon isn't shining.
Its face concealed beneath a thick blanket of pink and purple, hiding. Ashamed, and all alone.
I creep up the hill, leaping over the tree that fell about a month ago, and sure enough, in the distance, I can see him.
Surprise surprise.
I stumble forward to open the gate, its high pitched scream scratching at the silence, tiptoe towards the mahogany tree trunk and carefully climb up its smooth surface.
He cradles me in his arms as I melt into his chest, and we both sigh, its chorus filled with fear, anger, and an overpowering contentment.
Life cant get any better than this.
If I was smart I wouldnt be here. I would leave right now with tears streaming down my face.
Block out the past and what would become the future.
Everything I live for.
Everything I worked for.
Smart people make plans. They have the A levels, the university degree, the best student of the ear award, the family they can run to whenever they need them.
A home.
But stupid has the stories...
