War

Emotion flies freer than blood, than water
It binds us together, and drives us apart
Pain and suffering, bringers of destruction and despair
Love and Joy, messengers of hope and happiness
All of these emotions, they control us, and they shape us into
who we are
A man wrought from the fires of pain, and fuelled by the
Ideas of revenge
A man forged by joy, ready to love and held by the hope
of a better future
These men walk the streets during the daytime
These men prowl the alleyways at night
These men are who were are, who we will become
Selfishness and greed, compassion and happiness
They all define us, but in this war-torn world, they also destroy us.
