August rain, middle
season, mixed up
sky of weather
dampest drizzle
of chilled wet air
beating autumn time
with dullest
pitter patter
two four, four four
in slowest largo tempo.
But it's much too early
autumn you are premature
we are not ready
for hats, boots, macs
and cardigans,
where was our
August summer time
of stripey deckchairs
marigolds, pansies
colourful parasols
lemonade and
ice lollies.
August rain, middle
season, mixed up
sky of weather
how I wish
we weren't stuck with you.

Nice piece by the way
