To Do

I started to write a list
of all the poems I haven't written,
all the pictures
I haven't painted,
and all the little things
I haven't done.

I got distracted
by coffee granules
huddled together on the floor
like a family of bears
hunting for fish beneath a ring pull
torn from a tin
of dolphin-unfriendly tuna.

I haven't said I love you.
