No matter how much we irritate you,
No matter how much we bully you,
No matter how big a nuisance we are,
Our love for you it true.
Sure we act weird,
Sure we keep irritating beards,
Sure we love to make fun of you,
Yet our love for you is true.
Yes we take pride in irritating you the way we do,
Doing things out of the blue.
We love to mess up your food,
Mess up your hair,
And everything else about which you care.
For the simple daemons as we are,
Full of idioticity and nonsensical stuff,
In a simple try to make you laugh.
We don't know how to show,
Our love for you,
That's the reason why we do things,
About which even we don't have a clue.
One thing I can assure you is that,
Tears are what we just can't see in your eyes,
For that's what makes us go bizarre.
On this raksha bandhan we promise to protect you,
For the rest of our life,
And keep irritating you,
Even if that includes scaring you with creatures of the wildlife.
Wish you a very happy raksha bandhan,
And sorry for the moments of the past which hurt,
Due to our childlike attitude,
And for those when we were rude.
