Waves
By Lee J Mavin
Rising up quick here comes the shore
Tidying up too late to settle the score
The wave crashes hitting me in the heart raw
Tearing me apart breaking all lovers' laws
Back for more here comes the backlash
Cradle me in comfort waiting for the snap back
Beach line is empty and all help has gone black
Crafty in witchcraft silence is her come back
Smashing in once again to my sides and shins
A look of satisfaction on your evil grin
Taken out to the ocean to feed the fish in
Understanding stranded potions to cure the sins
Anxious in the deep frantic treading water
You circle around me orchestrating your torture
The sea salt stings and itches into my cipher
No escape from the ringing of the sea vultures
But then you swoop in howling feeding me sparingly
And convience me to wince me never unfairly
The arguementative becomes the repetitive
I ride waves of love until I feel the sedatives
And sleep for theives have stolen my relief
Memories of swimming wanting again to compete
The love game is strange at time causes grief
I untangle myself and take a seat on the man reef
