like delicious coffee to my lips
my feet swallow the sweet miles
and I awake like a butterfly
from a cocoon on Nikes golden wings
born to fly for but a while
the distance does not diminish
yet ever am I drawn to the road
the path the track the trail
as a moth to flame or duck to water
my earthly legs shall reap what God has sewn
unbound senses drawing me onward
as a guest in natures bountiful feast
the vision the smell the sound the feeling
lift me over the mountainous walls
to meet the rising sun in the east

Hi braintrain,
I just love the way you have written this poem,
especially the first stanza:
like delicious coffe to my lips
my feet swallow the sweet miles
and I awake like a butterfly
from a cocoon on Nikes golden wings
born to fly but for a while
Simply beautiful.
Jenny.
