Directions

Once upon a time
I changed my mind
felt rather alone sort of adrift
so would you paint me a dream
with directions, north south west
an easy route so I don't digress
only have read and tried
my daily horoscopes
battled with ravines
and fallen down cliffs
so a dream for me from you
might be just the thing
a correct course of action
you can throw in a towel
kaleidoscope compass even
to pack in my rucksack
with some beer and cake
and my big pink fluffy dream
on a water colour canvas
sort of mystical/magical
a touch of the unknown
all relative to a dream map
painted with kindness of thought
by your own fair hand
now surely that would
be the end of this
fantastical tale, no more hiccups
or nasty twists and turns
maybe even Brandon Flowers
might pop his head around the corner
now that really would be the end
of this disastrous adventure.
