My End

I dangle there
my feet bare above the floor
the rope is taught
the chair no longer there
time slows to a sloth's pace
agony as i watch the clock
each second an eternity
my life should pass
but I'm clouded with my own mortality
like all others
air abandons me
In the shatter mirror
a mimic of my life
I see my image
distorted but some how true
the time has come
for my El Fin
I greet it with a tear and grin
confused until the end.
