Black Cab

I don’t want to bruise your ears,
Or hurt you again
But I got back-stabbed in a black cab,
When I needed a friend
You broke my heart and sold my soul,
Left me on the curve, cold and alone
So I made my way on my own,
Got in a black cab “take me home”
The journey was takin’ long,
So I played a song on my Nokia phone
My ears were deaf to the world,
A cab driver and a drunken girl
As we drove through the night,
I couldn’t help but feel a little fright
‘Cause I didn’t know where he was takin’ me
I said “please could you pullover and let me out”
He stopped the car before proceeding to shout
He put the volume on the radio up,
And at that moment I was struck
He was going to hurt me, eyes lookin’ dirty
He ripped off my clothes, unable to move
He kissed my lips, touched my breasts,
Disgusted by the essence of his breath
The horizon and stars echoed death,
But as soon as he finished he up and left
And I lied like a foetus, cried and wept
