The Effect of Resonance

The effect of resonance
is a sipping of her,
sipping of here, sipping through hands;
hands, cupped bone as years pour
scores in an over flowing rhythm.
It is a diaphragm of breath, bathing
of hands, bathing of here, bathing her.
Inhale, exhale
But many fetter a better trap to ensnare,
baring Hozomen nude.
Strip mine his heart, in search
of torquise tongues, and coppered wine,
to be swallowed from their gnarled hands.
God will love them more, they think,
their understand, when gorging upon the forge
of Love’s butterfly-land.
Go! Scry moon-kissed nights,
you frivolous fools!
The effect of resonance
is a holding of him,
holding of hymn, holding of hands.
It is a touch.
It won’t seem like much, to you.
Yet he is a word
she has never heard before.
A cream that never sours
in the cup of her, pouring
of hands, pouring of hymn, pouring him.
Inhale, exhale
And when other Lovers ache
from such trembling flights,
and the echoing plights
of starved hurricanes set to ravage
their welcome mats, disarrayed with bloody scraps
of an orgied Valentine’s Day, wonder.
What will they say to desolate angels?
“I am sorrowful
I did not savor your precious soar,
for the moth-less times
of Winter’s chilling hoar?”
The effect of resonance
is a movement of faith, a movement
of face, a movement of hands.
Flutter these wings with care,
written where only Hozomen,
and she, and he laugh, believe, and dare,
a caring of hands, a caring of face, caring faith.
Inhale, Exhale
Sit quietly by, and sigh purple
regret. Listen to the swift, and set
priceless wings, left to pound,
sound like blood bursting through
the elements. Sit, and protect
the tethers of your feathers alone.
See that this quivering
was never meant to be a trumpet
of tornadoes, but a nexus of knowing,
that the effect of resonance
is the beat of her heart,
everytime he breathes.
