We spent the summer
Twisting threads of echo's
Into ambient shards of clustering starlight.
Throwing our passions,
Upon the little gods of this world;
As we sought each other's heart,
hoping that this brief and tender time together,
Would ne'er be lost.
Walking barefoot along the shoreline,
I prayed that this day would ne'er end;
and looking out into the twilight of the day,
We saw the stars play a melody,
As if they were to bear witness,
To the tempest of our love.
We grasped, our hands held tight,
And in awe resplendent,
We saw the moon slowly rise from the boiling sea,
as the starfield’s majestically,
thundered upon the granite rocks of time...
