Rock in the road

I walk down the road with my head in the clouds
whistling a tune for the birds
along comes a rock to change things forever
its really rather absurd
this morning I showered and put on my clothes
dapper and dandy I was
only now I am broken,weak and soft spoken
cause of that rock in the road.
