It's been a while

It's been a while old friend
so you'll have to forgive
my rusty ideas,
but i'm back now to share
my hopes dreams and fears,
current life experiances and such.

Coming to uni has been like
learning dutch,
suddenly thrust in at the deep end
finacially, supporting yourself,
working with money,
setting a budget and trying
to stick to it best you can,
as in life we all need a good plan.

The course is good and people are great,
no one that i'd say i hate,
infact some good friends i've made,
and plenty of improv games we've played.
Though it lacks a singing element
and that saddens me,
as it's always been singing that sets me free.

But as i expected the hardest thing of all,
is having to live 3 weeks at a time
living between visits
from the girl on my mind,
the girl who i love more now
and continue to love more each day,
yes 2 hours isn't really far away
but it's far enough, and when she can't stay
the weekend, well what can i say
it's certainly not easy,
i miss her so much it makes me quesy,
so living life 3 weeks at a time,
but still knowing she'll always be mine.
