I just can't wait

I just can’t wait for Christmas,
It’s going to be Christmas soon,
“I am going to enjoy this Christmas”,
I say as I hum a Christmas tune,
I will open up my calendar,
As I do I will say,
I just can’t wait till Christmas and then it will be Boxing Day,
Six days then I wait until the big day is here,
Who cares of Christmas? “I can’t wait till New Year”

I can’t wait till Valentines,
“Will cupid strike his bow?”
The 14th of Feb I cannot wait,
It’s not that long to go.

A few more weeks till Easter,
To stock up with Easter treats,
Oh I just can’t wait till Easter,
Easter you just can’t beat.

A few months break of holidays,
And a bit of English sun,
Then I just can’t wait till Halloween,
Now we’re talking fun.

Not long to wait till the next event,
Or my mind would go bazurk,
I just can’t wait for toffee apples,
And a lot and lots of fireworks.

Let’s enjoy the journey,
Rather than wishing our lives away,
Time is something we can’t get back,
So embrace every day,
I am also a culprit of this doing,
But sometimes when I do,
I look at my loved ones and think to myself,
I’m so happy to have you.
