The refugge

You view my form, with looks of caring
We survivors make it, by daring.
We mothers scavenge to feed our brood
The soldiers take away the food
They enjoy an array of fair we don’t approach we wouldn’t dare
The long dry trek to seek out aid
The equipment gone to black market trade
The bureaucrats with their red tape
Let the soldiers pillage and rape it’s because of this I have this shape
Our village burnt raised to the ground
Our men folk shot, stoned and drowned
The smell of death the stench of fear
Babies crying, screaming loud, all these cry’s lost in the crowd.
Send us cloths and food in aid
Help us quick don’t be afraid
The sun is hot please send us shade
Please oppose our perilous plight that would help us sleep at night
Pledge support to break these crates’
They are like a pack of rats
Taking all that they survey
It is we poor that pay and pay with your support we can say no way
