Sophia the Scamp

Having inflated the small blow-up bouncy house in the living room for four year old Sophia and five year old Marcus, the adults went out the sliding glass door to have a cigarette and enjoy the antics of the children inside. They chuckled at Sophia, who, at the age of four, was precocious and a bit of a rascal to boot, and led Marcus around like a tiny despot. About halfway through their cigarettes, Sophia noticed the adults were missing, left the blow-up house, and spotted them outside the glass door. She ran to the glass, smiled an impish grin missing several teeth, and promptly locked the glass door. The adults, shocked at her perspicacity, knocked loudly at the glass pane. Marcus crawled out of the inflatable house, went to the glass, where he saw the adults pointing almost soundlessly to the door handle and signaling him to do something with it. That was when Sophia took Marcus by the hand, whispered something in his ear, and pulled him back into the bouncy house. As she did, she laughed wildly as she saw the expressions of the exiled adults: shock, disbelief, pride, anger, and gales of laughter from her mother.
