Realization

When one realizes the reality of one’s self
The moment is illuminate like the morning dawn.
You begin to see beauty in your being
Like you see individuality crystalized in every drop of dew that falls.
I like the morning as there is a peace in the air
Which only God and I share.
Its silence echoes its voice in my ear
And I am reminded that I too will softly speak
In to the ether as my spirit dissipates into nature
When I return to God.
The sun begins to rise like a pearl
And each droplet of dew encapsulates the soul of it.
It’s held there till its heat dissolves each one
And reveals the tips of each blade of grass.
God will return one day and summon each blade by name
Asking each one in turn to give an account of its time spent in idle toil.
Each one frozen in the moment, in awe of the creator at work.
Few things fascinate me like this and the simplicity and microscopic nature
Of it tends to remind me of how insignificant but marvellous I am.
A blade of grass, a perfectly formed dew drop, a beautiful dawn.
Perfection personified in the realm of an imperfect world
Where man’s nature is hostile to the beauty God created
Telling me something of the history of the earth.
