If you’ve time, please take a look
at the rhyme within this book.
It’s a rhyme that I once read
that goes round inside my head.
‘In a universe,
in a galaxy,
on a planet of
blue and green,
on a continent
in a country there
lived a little girl
called Maureen.
And she had a Russian dolly
that she gave the name of Molly
and she always got excited
every time she looked inside it.
For inside the little doll
was an even smaller doll
and it had the same black hair
and the same bright eyes of green
and inside that little doll
was an even smaller doll
and it had the same black hair
and bright green eyes as Maureen
And it had a Russian dolly
that it gave the name of Molly
and it always got excited
every time it looked inside it.
For inside that little doll
was an even smaller doll
and it had the same black hair
and the same bright eyes of green
and inside that little doll
was an even smaller doll
and it had the same black hair
and bright green eyes as Maureen
“It’s the best doll I’ve ever seen”
said that little girl called Maureen;
“Inside each doll another hides
which hides another doll inside”.
But inside that little doll
was an even smaller doll
with the same black wavy hair
and the same bright eyes of green
and inside that little doll
that was the smallest doll of all
was a universe,
and a galaxy,
and a planet of
blue and green,
and a continent
and a country where
lived a little girl
called Maureen”.
