1st Verse:
Cosmic glitter across the skies;
stars open all their little eyes.
There’s a star for everyone;
a star that they can wish upon.
A pretty sea of stars and galaxies
stretching as far as the eye can see
but there is one star that I can’t see above,
a star that flashes with the bright light of love.
Chorus:
Starlight; starbright;
will you be my star tonight.
I wish I may; I wish I might
have you to kiss and hold me tight.
Where you take me is out of sight.
Oh won’t you be my guiding light.
2nd Verse:
All the world’s lovers look up in this way;
at heavens pretty fireworks display,
making a wish upon a falling star;
wishing they had a love as bright as ours.
If you would only join your heart with mine,
I know together that our love would shine;
a light so bright they could see it from space;
as bright as any star in heavens face.
Chorus:
Starlight; starbright;
will you be my star tonight.
I wish I may; I wish I might
have you to kiss and hold me tight.
Where you take me is out of sight.
Oh won’t you be my guiding light.
