Full Moon

Full moon

Under the bright, full moon,
mice scurry and chatter.
A hedgehog moves sprightly across the lawn.
Worms pop up from their burrows,
whilst cats prowl and hunt.
A gentle breeze ruffles the leaves on the silver birch.
Owls hoot in the background
and I arrive in my car,
look up, and stare in amazement
at the greatness of the stars
and the wonder of this bright, clear, full moon.
