Older but not lesser

Though your old eyes may be wrinkled,
they’re as blue as periwinkles
and they sparkle and they twinkle
like the welkin* when its sprinkled
with a trillion brilliant stars.

True, you may have hair of white,
but waterfalls, with all their might;
snow capped mountains of great height
and polar bears that roar and fight
are white haired and look how grand they are.
