Karma of the plastic kind ..

I thought l'd walk the dustbin round,
t'was getting near that time
for those big trucks
who's growling sucks
the garbage from inside.
The wind was howling scarily
so l picked up my pace
Then somehow winter's invisible hand,
scooped up the lid, it got me, BANG
a bullseye in my face!
I stood there a few seconds thinking
'I have just been punched'.
My refuse bin assaulted me,
the reason? There was none.
My cheek was sore, nose bleeding now
l started crying, 'waaah waaaaaahhhhh'.
An' then 'booo hoooo', it came out, too
l slammed that lid back down.
I stood there, outside, on my kerb,
then anger it took hold.
I kicked that green and shiny thing
with my wee foot, aaaooooooooh.
Basil Fawlty-esque l was,
with sorest cheek and throbbing toes.
As twinkling stars looked down on me,
it made me think more carefully.
Never under estimate,
the power of nature, hand of fate.
Wish l'd left that bin alone
then you wouldn't be listening to my moan ..
