Writing my true story was tough but....

I did consider looking for a traditional publishing package......in my dreams!
I'm a older chicken, with feathers and beak in tact, but no famous relatives, or any who I might want to use, to give me a leg up the hay-stack or hen run.
I've just missed being burned alive in my car; that burst into flames in the garage where I'd taken it to be re-fuelled. It was only when I touched the bonnet, on the way to the pump, that I realised the engine was on fire and rushed to tell the attendants who managed to move it away from the pumps. Within moments my car was gone but I was left in tact and so was the rest of my town.
I've sat in a plastic swan at Woburn Abbey, unable to return our little duckie back to where the attendants were waiting; because there was an inbalance on our boat.....my ruddy rudder never touching the water. Oh how very regretful I felt sitting trapped in this vessel; having to be told when I could or couldn't peddal by a young attendant who sat in his canoe shouting orders over his loud-speaker whilst the world and his wife looked on and clapped when we returned to the bank.
I've been interviewed on Radio Northampton and write a couple of times a month in a National womens magazine and have been a runner up with a story printed in Prima Magazine.
Oh, and my car broke down on a nearby bridge....enough perhaps for now.
I am still a older chicken with a true story to tell; which isn't funny at all.
