The Yellow Shoes.

I was at the bus station today, just waiting for the bus to arrive and not thinking of anything in particular, when suddenly I saw them.
The Yellow Shoes!
I saw them first before I saw him, because was wearing them. But, who would wear yellow shoes? I then had to look him up and down quickly as he walked across the road in front of me, no, he didn't have anything else on that was yellow to match.
He was in bland colours and so was the buildings behind him, brown and grey.
Yet it was worse than that! It wasn't just yellow, as he walked past me I noticed, from the toes to where the shoes lacs are, say going back about first 4” only that part was yellow! The rest a darker colour, the unimportant other colour didn't matter, for the yellow part stood out SO much!
Did he get them for a song?
He must have done! For who would walk around, in a Town, where all blended in, with head held high, in half painted yellow shoes!
If you know who he is, don't tell him, it was me, who wrote about him. Thanks.
