we headed out
in weather like this
wind a-blowin’
snow a-blisterin’
eyes squinting through
branches adorned
with pale colours
from winter’s storm.
Feet encased in
weathered boots
bodies covered warm
jackets -- mitts
a back pack
firm on our frame.
A hiking type of day.

I am a wordy drama queen
I am a wordy drama queen Richard.I much prefer 'flamboyant', thank you, far more palatable. Your niche takes me on a hike, in bitter winds, with snow blasting my face. My perfect kind of day.
