Hurry up and tell me
son. Who is the best
father in the world?
as I tickle his seven
year old tummy---flat
and without the flush of
adulthood. Toes nicely
formed and wiggly.
Eh? Tell me. Is your
daddy not the best person
in the world? Face full
of joy. Shrieking in youthful
splendour---tiny version
of the larger me. Wife
arriving at the time of his
answer. Yes---you. And
I clutched him to my heart
this fine piece of art. His
mother joining us in a
family re-union---our son.
