Chapter 2
Walking down the halls of the academy , I was amazed. The beautiful artwork was glorifying. At the end of the hall there was a set of stairs.” These stairs lead up to your tower room. The scholarship students get tower rooms to keep them able to continue their studies without concentration issues.”, said the annoyingly petty tour guide.
“Wow, so do I have a room to myself?”, I asked politely. I turned, looking at all the doorways that seemed to surround me
“Yes, every student has their own living quarters.” I walked up the many spiraling stairs and finally reached a door. “ You get two sets of keys to your room, one to carry and one to hide in case you misplace the first one. Each room is equipped with a key hider. Most are paintings on the outside but because of the age of your room, yours is inside one of the bricks in the wall.” She counted four bricks down from the top of the door and seven bricks to the right. She pushed on the right side of it. To my surprise , the brick turned sideways and revealed that it was hollow. Well I thought it as hollow. I reached inside and found a key . My key. “So I guess I will leave you to explore your room.” she said. I walked inside. Unlike the halls and other rooms, mine was new and modern looking. At the back of the dorm was a doorway I presumed would be my room. Even though this seemed awesome, I had a bad feeling about this place.

Quint laid on his bed thinking about what had just happened. His best friend and secret crush had just told him she was moving a country away. He also couldn't forget he had just dumped and embarrassed the most popular girl at school. For a couple of days now he felt like a beast, ignoring Aroura just to hang with Clair. All this time he had been going after the wrong girl. He had lost his chance.
He was tired. But not tired enough to go to sleep. Every night he had a dream about Aroura and each time she would change into a wolf-like beast. Yet he still wanted to be near her. He was worried that one night she wouldn't be so friendly. “huh so i'm fifteen and still scared of nightmares,” he thought to himself.
Not only did he want her to like him, he wanted her to need him. Maybe finally then he would man-up and save her. He felt that she did need him though but she didnt act that way. He needed her too. Had she liked him? He would feel terrible if she had. He missed her. He remembered their last hug and wished there could have been more behind it.
