Millionaire

The Conservative minister for Welfare Reform Lord Freud obviously thinks he is well equipped to efficiently and compassionately. He appears so confident that he doesn't have to stop and reflect why food banks are increasing. Apparently he has all the answers to these increases; which has nothing to do with a desperate need to feed their families but just because they are there and these banks are being exploited. He, apparently, doesn't think the appearance of these food banks is necessarily linked to benefit sanctions or delays but just because there are more of them. This cruel statement indicates just how out of touch this man really is. He obviously has little grasp on the complexities of being poor or how it feels being fed crumbs from his tables. Apparently he owns a large home in Highgate, north London as well as a eight bedroom mansion in Kent. It is said that the best form of defence is attack; which Lord Freud has no qualms about doing.

He probably has little idea to know how it feels to accept crumbs from a party who boots you into the ground, who force you to beg and stand in queues and ask for help, support, understanding and compassion. How it feels to be treated with disdain by those who have no idea what it's like not only to be poor or disabled....who have to face Tribunals and die because they are not believed; dying being the only way they can make their point.
The poor are poor not out of choice; they stand in line to wait for hand-outs whilst trying to keep their family intact and happy but that is to difficult for most of those who rule from their lofty heights can ever understand.
