Funerary Face

beaming face veiled
iris beams felled
inside, crestfallen mind
a temporal light pined
but dark portents braille
beneath, cooling spell
eerie breeze twines
shivers stout spines
seeded ducts swell
puffy cheeks trail
on shrivelled vine
black lashes bine
on fluid shells
white, hollow scales
each, briny droplet aligns
until heavy heart resigns
when briny sorrows have spilled
and masked host has deeply swilled
then sappy tears rill
down warm window sill
