The swallows in September;
they fly far, far away
but they always remember
to return in the May.
Leaves blaze like fire burning;
soon branches will be bare
but when the Spring returns then
new green leaves will appear.
Soon it will be December
and down the snow will pour
but up out of the embers
the sun will rise once more.
Flowers may wilt and wither
with winter gloom but then
the Spring will bring bright weather
and flowers bloom again.
And after Springtime follows
golden June and July
and when they do, the swallows,
they all will, homeward, fly.
