AN OFFICE. FRIDAY AM. BEA ENTERS. CAMERON SEATED BEHIND DESK
Cameron: Good morning, Bea. Please, take a seat.
BEA SITS. SHE LOOKS FLUSTERED
Bea: Morning... I'm sorry I...
CAMERON CUTS HER OFF
Cameron: The Dodson file, you were meant to have it for me this morning?
Bea: I know, I'm sorry. I've been working really hard on it, it's just...
Cameron: It's just what, Bea? It's just that you couldn't do it? It's just that working to a deadline's not your cup of tea? It's just that Tuesdays do something with your menstrual cycle?!
BEA IS APPALLED
Bea: No, it's nothing like that, actually. It's nothing like that at all. And if you're going to speak to me like...
Cameron: Like what Bea? Speak to you like a boss wondering where his employee's results are?
Bea: Like a...
Cameron: Like a concerned individual trying to keep this company afloat?
Bea: 'Concerned?' Ha!
Cameron: ...I beg your pardon?
Bea: You wouldn't know concern if you looked it up in the dictionary.
Cameron: How dare you...
BEA GETS UP AND PUTS HER BRIEFCASE ON HIS TABLE. OPENING IT, SHE BEGINS BANGING BOTTLES OF PILLS ON THE DESK.
Bea: I had an appointment yesterday. Remember how I asked to leave early and was told 'under no circumstances'?
Cameron: Bea, you know we're...
Bea: I know we're busy, Cameron, by all that is dear I KNOW we're busy!
Cameron: So...
Bea: So, I changed my appointment, got a late one... And then I went to hear my results from the consultant...
Cameron: Consultant...
Bea: WILL YOU BE QUIET!...
(PAUSE)
Bea: Oh, what's the point? I know the business is ailing, Cameron. I know we're all under the sword of bloody Damocles. But getting rid of the HR advisor was one of the worst decisions that the board has ever made. I'm sick, Cameron. Unwell. Very unwell. And I've been trying to get through to you all week to have a sit-down conversation, like two adults. But it's not working, is it Cameron? It's just not working.
(PAUSE)
I'll see you on Monday

Unfortunately, this smacks of so many conversations I've heard. Is there more? Would love to see where this goes. The dialogue scene works really well.
