THE SILENT ORDER OF THE REDEMPTION

Sister Perfidy is - for reasons best known to the cloistered holy sisters - what they would call her if they were not an unspeaking order. She comes, from time to time, in her off-white habit. They believe, so somebody said, that she drowned before taking her final vows; left stranded; neither a bride of Christ nor wholly uncommitted soul. There is, according to their beliefs, no place prepared for one so betrothed; one who jilted.
It is imagined she would prefer the certainty of hell to this perpetual stasis, and will have to force her master's reluctant hand to commit her. Of how she will court his displeasure the nuns cannot speak - nor of how she can be prevented.
I, even during the onset of the crippling disease that confines me to their hospice, and when nightmares were most profound, have never felt such trepidation as I do now, with this mute, damp novice stepping out of her apparel, and hanging her rosary on the corner post of my bed.

For anybody interested, I have my first complete novel up on Amazon – available for Kindle or PC.
It’s a crime/political thriller whodunit, and is dirt cheap
You can read the synopsis and first chapter for free! So must be worth a look.
