I watch from a hull
of listless movement --
how shoreline parades
in silhouettes
and stillness listens.
My canoe pauses within
contentment
enables like a collection
of phrases,
from solace to benefits
upon a small lake --
in time day turns to life
and ripens as a poem.

Very nice. Has a 'japanese' poetry - sort of haiku quality (not that I know anything about Japanese poetry). Thanks.

This is a slice of watery
This is a slice of watery peace, Richard. There's a lull in the words and its economy is impressive. Really enjoyed this.
