Young Lad: The why O chroniclers of war did her soul surrender to the Reaper's Sickle
Chronicler: Hiroshima, giant mushroom in the sky. Twas at the rising climax of the war when death, that old foe, aimed its rifle on her soul. But she was a runner, for twelve years she was nothing more than a fugitive of Sheol, that bottomless pit to which all men must fall. Her small feet could carry her no longer so she stopped a while to catch her breath, taking too long death caught up with her. And so she went up yonder, at the pristine age of twelve.
Young Lad: Chroniclers of war if ye may indulge us, what was her name
Chronicler: O me young lad, such an inquisitive fellow you are. The news of her passing came by the beak of an eagle whose wings were reluctant in carrying it. This chroniclers pen was reluctant in recording it, and am sure you can understand my reluctance in retelling it. But since you ask, I shall tell you her name. Sadako Sasaki was her name, she died on October 25, 1955, at the tender age of twelve.
