Sirens whiz by

it feels like a dream

the girl in the corner 

is more than she seems

she doesn't always lie

sometimes she tells the truth

even her friends say

nasty things about her

i hear she had sex in a phone booth

she knows that there's no point in trying

because even if she succeeded

no one would care

it seems like she is always searching 

for a life that isn't quite so unfair

it happened so fast, everything was a blur
