Islands In The Sky

Islands in the sky
A smudge of charcoal smeared 'gainst the skies, cotton continents soundless flies
Powder bluffs of baby blue, thunder head anvils rumbling hurling spears of lighting too
Another world rules overhead where eagles soar and condors circle for the dead
Or is there more than what I see, heaven’s scroll of secrets unfurling endlessly
Enthralled as I peer past the hazy ridge a world crowned with Heaven’s circle bridge
A writhing wreath, a feathery embroidered ring do I stand beneath a living thing?
Or maybe God is finger painting for our delight his goodnight kiss before the night
Or is the tattered quilt drifting high above a shifting panorama of hate and love
An endless play between dark and light a mirrored rainbow of man’s earthly plight
Or I wonder could it be are we but fish and overhead undiscovered astral sea

This is beautiful and
This is beautiful and reminded me of a comment my little daughter made earlier when she said to me "mummy, look how high up those mountains are" (referring to the clouds which were indeed shaped like mountains)
