Saturday

I heed the weekend's early call, I rise from my warm bed, I'll have a drink and maybe think, Of things to do instead.

Sunday Fire

Sitting by a Sunday Fire, The warmth, the heat and light, Just think of all those later on, With nowhere to spend the night

Wish

I really must improve my mood, I know it's often said, But it's hard to smile, when all the while, You wish that you were dead.

As Moss

As moss creeps out from shadowed walls, Whilst hiding from the sun, It shows that some need not stand tall, There's a place for everyone.

We Met

The happiest I've ever been, That's a day I won't forget, I saw your smile and all the while, On the first day that we met.

Love I'm Told

Love I'm told is in the air, Yet such a thing I cannot see, Perhaps I'm looking up not down, Or simply waywardly.

Wispy

A frozen chilly morning, The grass all white and crispy, My ears are blue, the sky is too, With clouds of white and wispy.

Enveloped

Enveloping, it cloaks me, The darkness of the night, I become an unknown entity, Until tomorrow's light.

Sunday

On Sunday I find myself cursed, By the drink I had last night, My head it pains, like frozen rain, My eyes adverse to to light.

Smile

Somewhere from a near past time, I recall an easy smile, It's harder though as days go by, For it's been such a long while.

Cause of course

What does it mean to be mean, I mind, my mind tells me, So I read, I read, I write, I'm right, I'm all at sea, you see.

Gloom

The gloom that clouds our Monday, Cast shadows 'cross our hearts, We toil at tasks that we despise, Whilst our loved ones are apart.

We fear the things we cannot see, Or things we think we hear, A moment though of clarity, Shows all we fear, is fear.

Change

Life, when living in a bottle, At times can seem quite strange, I awake, a drink I take, Yet always hope for change.

Spoil

As frost bites the new found shoots of green, Poking through dark soil, Will Winter kill all chance of life, Bright blooms too quick to spoil.

Reflection

I catch a mere reflection, Of myself, in window pane, Should I look upon such sorry sight, I may never look again.

Flaw

Who is it that's watching you, Your phone, your files, and more, What will they see when they look close, Yes, every crack, and flaw.

Smile

Hello Spring, It's been a while, The blossom's here, As is my smile

Cope

Eyes reddened by the liquor, Soul blackened, lacking hope, Amazing how in spite of this, The World thinks he can cope.
